If you haven’t heard of Lyon + Post they are an online retailer that lets you shop, sends you your desired items and doesn’t charge you until you decide what you’re keeping.
I LOVE shopping, but sometimes I don’t have time or don’t feel like going to a store and interacting with the human race. So like most, I turn to online shopping and I love it. I’ve done StitchFix, the first year or so was great but by the third year the Honeymoon was over so I reverted back to picking out my own clothes. I’m totally fine with that but when I heard about Lyon+ Post I HAD to try it. Here are some things about L+P:
1. They have basic items like jeans & tees as well as high end items from brands like DVF and AG. They are basically Nordstrom, which I adore.
2. You have to create an account to browse. (Takes about 53 seconds…do it.)
3. You can add items to your queue but only the top 4 (if available) will be sent you.
4. You can prioritize what you want sent first.
5. I added bout 8 things to my queue but most of them were “wait listed” meaning they weren’t available at the time. I assume this means that they have small quantities of each size and the items is out to someone else. There is no guarantee that the item will ever be available.
6 . You have 7 days to decide what you want to keep. SEVEN! That’s fucking fantastic!
7. They send you prepaid envelope for your returns.
8. Hand written note with impeccable packaging. I got a hand written note. I’m not sure why but this made me feel like they really care and stole the damn show. That, and this fantastic top I decided to keep.
9. Their customer service is top notch. They are very responsive via all social media outlets.
Basically, Lyon + Post is amazing. The concept isn’t that complex, but that’s the trademark of all good ideas. It’s just crazy that this idea didn’t launch sooner. I expect to see more stores stealing this idea.
